What is the forward voltage of a point contact diode in a crystal detector

In the past, people used a cat is whisker and a crystal such as galena for

The forward voltage of a germanium and of a galena diode are  
panther
same, which is 0.3 volts.

On a common diode forward voltage will be in range from 1.0 (Ge  
Chick
diode) to 1.5 (Si diode) Volts.
